Interfaces, connection and integration

Precia Molen indicators communicate via RS232/RS485 and Ethernet, the process devices additionally via Modbus, Profibus or Profinet. We read out weight, status and alibi number, transfer first and second weighing into the weighing ticket, post weighings to ERP or invoicing and feed belt scale totals into the control system and production statistics. If Precia Molen software is already running on the scale, we connect to its data output rather than building the processes twice.

Frequently asked questions

Can you integrate a Precia Molen vehicle scale into our workflows?

Yes. Vehicle scales with Precia Molen weighing technology can be read out via the terminal's existing serial or network interfaces. We provide the software for weighing workflows, weighing tickets and automatic hand-over to ERP, billing or material-flow documentation.

Are you tied to the manufacturer, or do you work independently?

We work fully vendor-independently. That means: we provide the software that fits your process – even if scales from other brands are in use alongside your Precia Molen devices, or are added later.

Does anything on the verified scale have to be modified for the connection?

No. We read the data via the intended interfaces without touching the legal-for-trade measuring chain – verification and the manufacturer's warranty remain unaffected.

Can you connect a Precia Molen weighbridge to our ERP and invoicing?

Yes. The terminal delivers the weighings with alibi number; our software adds customer, vehicle, material and order, generates the weighing ticket and hands it over to ERP, invoicing or the waste disposal record – with a self-service terminal for the driver if required.

We have Precia Molen belt scales in our plant – can we get the quantities into the control system and the ERP?

Yes. Belt scales deliver throughput and totals via Modbus or fieldbus. We transfer them into the control system, shift report and ERP so that production quantities and consumption are posted automatically.
