Recipe weighing software with batch record and SAP confirmation
For paints, coatings, cosmetics or chemical mixtures, the weighing decides the quality of the batch. This example shows recipe weighing that guides the operator component by component, checks every quantity against the tolerance and confirms the finished batch back to SAP.

The starting point in this industry
Recipes are often printed out at the scale and ticked off by hand. If a component is mixed up or too much is weighed in, it is only noticed in quality control – and tracing which supplier batch went into which product batch is tedious.
Guided weighing takes the arithmetic off the operator, prevents acceptance outside the tolerance and produces the batch record along the way.
How it works
- Take over the process orderRecipe, batch size and components come from SAP, the product batch is created.
- Weigh in componentsTarget, permitted range and remainder at a glance; accepted only at standstill and within range.
- Confirm batchBatch record with supplier batches, confirmation to SAP.
Key features
- Process orders from SAPRecipe and batch size without retyping
- Guided sequenceComponent by component
- Tolerance per componentPermitted range in kg
- Remainder displayHow much is missing – or too much
- Accepted only within rangeAnd only at standstill
- Supplier batch per componentTraceability without paper
- Batch recordTarget, actual, deviation, time, operator
- Confirmation to SAPBatch and consumption straight into the ERP
Integration with SAP and other ERP systems
Process orders with recipe and batch size are taken from SAP S/4HANA. After the last component, the weighing confirms the batch with actual consumption and supplier batches – the basis for inventory management and traceability in the ERP.
Besides SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, we integrate other ERP systems too – for example Microsoft Dynamics 365, abas, proALPHA, Odoo or weclapp. The interface adapts to your system, not the other way round.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate does the scale need to be?
That depends on the smallest components. In the example, a floor scale with 0.1 kg readability weighs batches of 500 kg; for small quantities a second, finer scale is added.
Does it work without SAP?
Yes. Recipes can be maintained in the application; integration with SAP or another ERP is optional.
This interface is an example we built for illustration – values and document numbers are simulated. For your operation, we develop it to fit your processes, scales and ERP.
