Precision measurement
Your scale measures precisely – we carry that precision into your systems without loss: automatic capture of readings instead of typos, plausibility checks included.
We deliver the software that connects your scales with your processes – from our own building-block system, vendor-independent and AI-assisted. You receive a fixed-price quote up front: no day rates, no open ends, no hidden costs. We make custom development as predictable as an off-the-shelf product.
Off-the-shelf software ends where your process gets specific.
That is exactly where we start.
Many companies run high-quality scales and still transfer the results by hand into Excel, delivery notes or the ERP system. Off-the-shelf weighing software covers the standard case but fails on the exceptions: the plant that has grown over time, the special workflow, the interface that simply isn't available „off the shelf“. Whatever you call it – weighing software or scale software – it always means the same gap between scale and process.
Digital Trend Systems GmbH closes this gap – with its own software building-block system for weighing processes. We are not a scale manufacturer and are tied to no manufacturer. And we don't start coding from scratch: our proven core technology – scale integration, weighing-data processing, interfaces, document handling – is fully developed and in productive use. From these building blocks we configure and extend your solution: precisely to your process, in a fraction of the time of a new development.
For you that means: you are not buying a risky one-off build, but a custom solution on a proven foundation – with a permanent right of use, ongoing development and a partner who maintains the technology, instead of handing you a folder of source code and disappearing.
And we work differently from classic software houses: consistently AI-assisted. Modern AI tools speed up our analysis, development and testing – your expertise and our weighing-technology experience steer, the AI accelerates. This creates custom software in a fraction of the usual time and on terms that previously only off-the-shelf products could offer.
From the first analysis to day-to-day operation – all from a single source.
We analyse your weighing processes on site or remotely, identify media breaks and manual steps, and develop a concept that fits your plant and your budget – vendor-neutral and with no obligation.
Tailor-made applications for your weighing: operator interfaces for weighing stations, loading and intake handling, recipe and dosing control, inspection and checkweighing – precisely to your workflow.
We connect scales from any manufacturer to ERP, MES, SCADA and inventory-management systems – via RS232, USB, TCP/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA or REST API. We also integrate unusual and legacy devices.
Automatic capture of every weighing, gap-free logging that supports audit-proof archiving in line with GoBD (German principles for the digital keeping of records), plus analyses and reports at the touch of a button instead of paper slips and manual Excel work. Your weighing data becomes usable.
Retrofit existing scales digitally instead of replacing them: we connect legacy devices to modern software via adapters and protocol converters, preserving your investment – including on legal-for-trade installations.
After go-live we stay on board: maintenance, remote support, guaranteed response times and further development when your processes change – with a direct line to the development team instead of an anonymous hotline.
Complete weighing systems from a single source: planning, supply of the weighing equipment, installation, commissioning and integration with your ERP – one point of contact for the entire system instead of three companies pointing at each other. Weighing systems in detail.
Weighbridges, platform and vessel scales, terminals, self-service kiosks, traffic lights and barriers, number plate recognition, cameras and ticket printers – selected vendor-independently to suit your process, procured and installed.
Commissioning with your real vehicles and data, training for your staff and coordination of conformity assessment and initial verification with the responsible body – followed by maintenance and remote support with fixed response times.
We are tied to no scale manufacturer – we plan your weighing system around your process, supply the matching components and add exactly what your workflow is missing.
Every project is different – but these challenges come up especially often.
"From the truck on the scale to the finished delivery note – without paper"
Handling of inbound and outbound weighings with master data, delivery-note and weighing-ticket printing, self-service, licence-plate recognition and integration with your inventory management.
"Gram by gram to recipe – documented and traceable"
Guided weigh-in by recipe with tolerance checks, batch records and label printing – for food, chemicals, paints and pharmaceutical precursors.
"Every deviation stands out – before it becomes a problem"
Automatic in-process checkweighing, limit monitoring, rejection and statistical analysis – integrated into your line and your QA system.
"Readings straight into the system – instead of the lab notebook"
Integration of laboratory and analytical balances with LIMS, databases or your own evaluations – with automatic capture, plausibility checks and export functions.
"The fill level reports itself"
Tank, silo and platform scales as a data source for inventory management and replenishment – with threshold alarms and integration with your planning.
Wherever things are weighed, we make processes faster and data usable.
A transparent process, a predictable fixed price and clear answers – you see results early and stay in control throughout.
We look at your weighing processes, on site or remotely, and clarify what is technically possible and economically sensible. Free and without obligation.
You receive an easy-to-understand concept with scope, timeline and fixed price – no open day rates, no hidden costs.
We develop iteratively and show you interim results regularly. Testing is done with your real scales and data – not only at the end.
Roll-out during operation, training of your staff and support through the first weeks – until everything runs smoothly.
On request we stay responsible: maintenance, remote support and adjustments whenever your requirements change.
Custom development – as predictable as an off-the-shelf product. After the free initial consultation and analysis, you receive a binding fixed-price quote with a clear scope and timeline. No day rates, no open ends, no hidden costs.
We work vendor-independently. Virtually any scale with a data interface can be integrated – from laboratory balances to truck scales, e.g. via RS232, USB, TCP/IP, Profinet, Modbus or OPC UA. Even older scales without a modern interface can often be retrofitted.
Yes. Connecting weighing data to ERP, MES and inventory-management systems is one of our core areas – via standard interfaces (REST API, OPC UA, file or database exchange) or as a custom-built connector.
It depends on the scope: a simple scale integration is considerably cheaper than a complete loading solution with terminals. After a free initial consultation and analysis, you receive a fixed-price quote – with no hidden costs.
Yes. We design solutions for legal-for-trade use – for example with an Alibi memory and tamper-proof storage in line with German weights-and-measures law (Eichrecht) – and factor the requirements of MID and OIML into the concept from the outset. Our founder is trained in the WELMEC 7.2 Software Guide (Issue 2023) – the requirements for legally relevant software are part of our development process, not an afterthought.
In most cases, yes. Existing scales can be connected to modern software via adapters and protocol converters – which is almost always more economical than buying new and preserves your investment.
Smaller integrations and tools are often ready within a few weeks; extensive bespoke solutions take several months. You receive the concrete timeline with the concept – including interim results you can test early.
Because we develop in a consistently AI-assisted way: modern AI tools take over time-consuming routine work in analysis, programming, testing and documentation. Concept, weighing-technology expertise and quality control stay with people. This lets us deliver custom solutions much faster – and at costs that make bespoke solutions viable even for smaller businesses.
Experience from weighing technology. Speed from AI.
Digital Trend Systems was founded by Marek Swierzy – as the company that, from a customer's point of view, should always have existed: a software partner who knows weighing technology from the inside.
Marek Swierzy was managing director of one of the internationally leading manufacturers of weighing indicators and weighing electronics. He knows both sides of the market: the technology (indicators, load cells, interfaces, weights-and-measures law) and the day-to-day reality of scale specialist firms and end users, whose requirements regularly exceed what off-the-shelf software can handle. For legally relevant software he is trained and certified in the WELMEC 7.2 Software Guide (Issue 2023). What he missed all those years: a partner who turns exactly these special cases into software quickly and affordably. That is precisely the company he founded.
We are deliberately not a classic software house: we develop in a consistently AI-assisted way and deliver custom solutions in weeks rather than months – at a fixed price. And we are deliberately not a scale manufacturer: we are tied to no brand and advise vendor-neutrally.
