At the latest when several people record at the same time, QA evidence is required, batches have to be assigned or the file becomes the collection point for years of measurement data, Excel starts working against you: file locks, accidentally overwritten rows, no traceability. The switch to a small database application is then smaller than you'd think – we often take your existing Excel logic as the template and you keep the familiar analyses.
