Intake weighing: more than a weight

With grain, the value is not only in the net weight. Intake includes sampling and quality data – and that is exactly where most manual work happens without software:

• First and second weighing at the weighbridge with assignment to supplier, contract and crop – legal for trade including the Alibi number (see our guide on the Alibi memory).
• Sampling per delivery: moisture, impurities, test weight, protein – values taken over from the lab or straight from the measuring device.
• Automatic deductions and premiums: drying and impurity deductions are calculated from stored tables, not argued over at the counter.

Taking the pressure out of harvest peaks

Three weeks a year decide how satisfied your suppliers are. To keep the queue at the weighbridge short, the software takes the routine off your staff:

• Self-service terminal at the weighbridge: regular vehicles and number plate recognition, registration without getting out at the weighbridge office.
• Barrier and traffic light control for orderly yard traffic, even after dark.
• Deliveries around the clock: intake keeps running long after the office has closed – and the data is complete in the system by morning.

Silo, storage and outloading

After intake, stock management begins: which cell holds which crop at which quality? The software keeps stock per silo cell up to date – from intakes, transfers and outloadings. When loading onto trucks or rail, the delivery note is created right at the scale; dosing and loading automation is connected via the control system (PLC / OPC UA / Siwarex). Book stock and cell stock stay in sync even in the middle of harvest.

Contracts and settlement

In the end, what counts is the settlement with farmer and buyer: contracts with quantities and base qualities, price tables with premiums and deductions, final settlement notes and collective statements. Our software hands the finished positions over to your ERP or merchandise management – from SAP and Sage to industry-specific agricultural trade solutions. No double entry, and every position stays traceable down to the individual weighing.

Can the software settle moisture and quality deductions automatically?

Yes. For each delivery, sample values such as moisture, impurities or test weight are recorded – manually from the lab or straight from the measuring device. The software calculates deductions and premiums from your stored tables and shows them transparently on the weighing ticket and the settlement.

How does intake get through the harvest peak?

With self-service at the weighbridge: regular vehicles, number plate recognition, barrier and traffic light control. Drivers are guided through first and second weighing without staff at the scale – intake keeps running in the evening and at weekends.

Can we keep using our existing weighbridge?

In almost all cases, yes. We work vendor-independently and connect existing weighing terminals via RS232, TCP/IP or OPC UA. Whether your terminal is suitable is something we clarify in the free initial consultation.

Does this work with our merchandise management system?

The weighing software hands intakes, outloadings and settlement positions over to your system via interfaces – standard ERP systems such as SAP, Dynamics or Sage as well as industry-specific agricultural trade solutions. Which interface makes sense depends on the system and is defined in the concept phase.
