Filling, bagging & packing: every weight documented, every label correct

Bag, big bag, bucket or box: at the filling line, scale, dosing system, label printer and ERP all meet. We build the software that holds this world together – from target weight to batch record.

From dosing to the label

A filling or bagging line is only as good as the interplay of its components. Our software takes the lead:

  • Dosing and bagging scales: target weights, coarse/fine feed and tolerances per article – connected to the plant control system via PLC / OPC UA / Siwarex.
  • Big bag and container weighing with automatic tare and target monitoring.
  • Recipe weighing: several components per batch, with operator guidance and a complete weighing record.
  • Label printing straight from the weighing: weight, batch, best-before date, GS1-128/EAN – no detour via a second workstation.

Checkweighing and prepackaging rules

Anyone placing prepackages on the market must keep fill quantities under control: the average must not fall below the nominal quantity, and minus deviations must stay within tolerance. Our software records check weighings – as samples on a bench scale or fully automatically on a checkweigher – and produces the evidence that counts during an inspection.

Batches and traceability

Every weighing is assigned to a batch – from raw material to finished pallet. The batch record shows which component went into which container in which quantity. Where needed, we connect laboratory and production systems: LIMS for approvals and test values, MES / SCADA for orders and machine data. Traceability stops being a chore and becomes a by-product of normal operation.

Orders from the ERP, quantities back into the ERP

The line should know what to produce – and the ERP should know what was produced. Our software fetches filling orders from SAP, Dynamics 365 or your merchandise management system and automatically reports back actual quantities, batches and rejects. Paper slips and interim Excel lists disappear; daily production can be analysed at the push of a button.

Frequently asked questions

Does the software support prepackaging regulations?

Yes. Check weighings are recorded per article and nominal quantity – as samples or fully automatically on a checkweigher. The software monitors the average and the tolerance limits and produces the records you can present to the inspection authority.

Can existing bagging scales and the PLC be kept?

Usually yes. We connect existing dosing and bagging scales as well as the plant control system via standard routes such as OPC UA, Profinet couplers or serial interfaces – vendor-independently. What is possible on your line is clarified in the free initial consultation.

Does the software print labels with weight and batch?

Yes. Labels are created straight from the weighing – with actual weight, batch number, best-before date and barcodes such as GS1-128 or EAN. You maintain the layouts yourself, or we deliver them ready-made.

What about manual workstations instead of an automatic line?

That is a typical case too: one operator, one bench scale, one label printer. The software guides through article, target weight and tolerance and documents every package – the same data basis as on the automatic line.
