Ravas forklift scales: software, connection and integration

Software for Ravas mobile weighing systems – from connecting a pallet truck scale to the warehouse management system through to integrating iForks fork scales into goods receipt, order picking and SAP. Ravas systems weigh where the goods are being moved anyway: on forklifts, pallet trucks and reach trucks. To turn every lift into a posted data record, we deliver the software that brings weight, order and storage location together.

What we do for Ravas users

  • Post weights from forklift and pallet truck scales automatically to WMS or ERP – no paper slips, no retyping
  • Safeguard goods receipt, order picking and dispatch with weight checks (completeness, overloading/underloading)
  • Stocktaking by weighing: calculate piece counts from weight and unit weight and transfer them straight into the system
  • Bring several vehicles with Ravas scales together in one application, including driver and vehicle assignment
  • Modernise existing Ravas installations without replacing the scale or the vehicle

Supported devices and series

Ravas systems we regularly connect:

  • RAVAS iForks and RAVAS-2100 / 3200: fork scales for counterbalance forklifts with a wireless or cable connection to the indicator or vehicle terminal
  • Pallet truck scales RAVAS-1100, 2100 and ProLine: manual and electric pallet trucks with integrated scale, also available verified
  • RCS series (Ravas Compact Scale) and reach truck / high-lift scales: weighing in the racking aisle and at height
  • Ravas indicators and vehicle terminals with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or RS232 as the data source for warehouse IT
  • Ravas WeightsApp / SmartScale: transfer weight data from the Ravas software into your systems

Interfaces, connection and integration

Depending on the model, Ravas scales deliver the weight via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RS232 or over the network via the Ravas terminal; verified versions keep an alibi memory. We capture weight, stability and tare on the vehicle terminal or handheld, link them with a scan of the order, article or storage location and post the transaction to the WMS or ERP (SAP EWM, Dynamics, JTL, custom systems). If the Wi-Fi drops out, the application buffers the data and synchronises later; the weighing technology itself remains unchanged.

Frequently asked questions

Can you connect our Ravas forklift scales to SAP or our warehouse management system?

Yes. The scale delivers the weight via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or a serial link; our software on the vehicle terminal or handheld adds order, article and storage location by scan and posts the transaction directly to SAP EWM, Dynamics or your WMS.

We want to do stocktaking with Ravas pallet truck scales – is that possible without counting by hand?

Yes. From the total weight and the stored unit weight, the software calculates the piece count, checks it for plausibility and writes the result to the stocktaking list or inventory management system – per storage location, with timestamp and driver.

Our Ravas scale is verified – may we use the weights for delivery notes?

Yes, provided the alibi number is carried along. Our software takes it from the scale's alibi memory into the delivery note and data record so that every value remains traceable under legal metrology.

We have forklifts with Ravas scales and stationary scales from other manufacturers – can these be brought together?

Yes. As an independent developer, we integrate mobile and stationary scales into one shared application – one user interface, one database, the same posting logic.

Do we need the Ravas software, or does your solution replace it?

Both are possible. If Ravas WeightsApp or SmartScale is already in use, we connect to its data output. If the process logic towards the WMS or ERP is missing, we deliver the application that talks to the scale directly.
