Soehnle Industrial scales: software, connection and integration

Software for Soehnle Industrial scales (Soehnle Professional) – from connecting a parcel scale to JTL-Wawi or weclapp through to integrating pallet, floor and counting scales into goods receipt, order picking and dispatch. Soehnle Industrial scales from Backnang are found in warehouses, workshops and dispatch departments; their terminals deliver weights that are often still read off and typed in by hand. We deliver the software that automates this.

What we do for Soehnle Industrial users

  • Connect platform and floor scales to ERP and warehouse-management systems
  • Automate pallet weighing in dispatch – weight straight into the delivery note and freight data
  • Link goods-receipt weighings to the purchase order and supplier
  • Store weighing logs centrally and make them available for analyses
  • Bring several weighing points in the company together in one shared software

Supported devices and series

Soehnle Industrial weighing technology we connect:

  • Platform and bench scales with Soehnle weighing terminal: transfer the weight directly into inventory management or shipping software
  • Floor, pallet and drive-through scales: goods receipt, dispatch and stocktaking
  • Counting scales: post piece counts for stocktaking and order picking automatically
  • Crane and hanging scales: weight by cable or wireless link into loading and picking processes
  • Weighing terminals of the 30xx series and evaluation electronics on special-purpose and self-built scales

Typical areas of use

In the warehouse: pallet scales whose results flow into warehouse management without detours. In dispatch: automatic weight transfer into shipping software and freight documents instead of handwritten notes. In production: floor scales that assign container and package weights directly to the right batch. Wherever people read off and retype today, the right software saves time and eliminates sources of error.

Interfaces, connection and integration

Soehnle Industrial terminals offer RS232, USB, Ethernet or Bluetooth depending on the model, and many devices are available in a verified version. We read the weight on request or automatically once the reading is stable, transfer it together with article, order or package into inventory management (JTL, weclapp, Sage, Odoo), shop system, shipping software or Excel, and bring several Soehnle scales as well as devices from other manufacturers together in a single application.

Frequently asked questions

Can the weights from our Soehnle pallet scale be transferred to the warehouse system automatically?

Yes. If your scale or weighing terminal has a serial or network interface, we build the software that hands every weighing result over automatically to warehouse management, ERP or the dispatch system – including assignment to an order or pallet.

Does the connection also work with several floor scales at different gates?

Yes. Our solutions capture any number of weighing points centrally – each floor scale is uniquely identified, and the weighing data converges in one shared overview and database.

What do you need from us for an initial assessment?

The type and location of the scales, the available interfaces (if known) and the target system. With that we can usually assess feasibility and effort within two business days.

Can you connect our Soehnle Industrial scale to JTL-Wawi or weclapp?

Yes. The terminal delivers the weight via RS232 or USB; our software transfers it directly into the packing bench, dispatch line item or goods receipt of your inventory management system – no retyping and no additional hardware at the workstation.

Our Soehnle counting scale is supposed to deliver piece counts for stocktaking – can that happen automatically?

Yes. The counting scale outputs piece count and weight via the interface; our software assigns them to the article and storage location and writes the count straight into the stocktaking list or inventory management system.
